World Series

Give praise to the baseball gods for the demise of the Boston Red Sox.

I am so happy they lost. And watching J.D. Drew strike out looking with the bases loaded made me genuinely happy.

I am really happy to see the Rays make the series. I felt good about them earlier in the year and they were my pick. They have an exciting young team, and a great ownership team that has really turned the club around.

The strength of the Phillies will be their pitching holding back the opposing offense. The Rays are just a strong young team with a couple of studs. I look at them as this years Rockies except they stayed hot all year.

I really am not sure how this series is going to pan out, but I am going to call it for the Rays in seven. MVP B.J. Upton.

The Dodgers, The Weather, And My Ulcer

"Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking."
-Steve McCroskey

Last night my beloved Dodgers opened a pony keg of whoop ass on the Chicago Cubs. I was really feeling good and almost felt bad for Cubs fans until the bottom of the ninth when we brought in Saito. Yikes! He was flat, no movement, and when he did find the strikezone, Cubs bats found the ball shortly after. That performance really shook me and made me think that Takashi is not ready to close games. Broxton did not look too great either.

Tomorrow is game three of the series. Myself and Amy will be attending. There is a 40% chance of rain. Just my luck. I don't even know how Kuroda pitches in cold damp weather.

Suffice to say I think we will get rocked tomorrow. I just can't beleive they will clinch the series on the day that I show up.
